It began with Marmite. They said it was bonkers. It probably was but we chose not to listen.
On a street famed for luxury, tradition and conformity we built a shrine to an everyday breakfast spread and in the process we broke pretty much every rule in the retail handbook. So did our customers. They wrote on our tables, put tea cosies on their heads and even sat in our windows for tea and toast. We all laughed, a lot. And with those smiles followed sales, lots of them. We made mistakes, more than we’d care to admit, but we also proved a point; that experiences pay. A decade on from our first store we work across categories and geographies. We remain an eclectic and skilled bunch, albeit a bigger one drawn from contrasting worlds, creative and commercial, passionate about building transformative and memorable experiences.
